This site is operated by Shilpa John. This policy explains what personal information the site collects, why, where it's stored, and how you can access, correct or delete it.
What we collect, and why
The contact form. Your name, email address, phone number (if you provide one), the type of enquiry, and your message. This is used only to respond to you.
Email updates. If you subscribe, your email address and the date you subscribed. This is used only to send the articles you signed up for.
We don't collect anything else. There are no advertising trackers, no cookies set by this site, and no analytics installed at present. If that changes, this policy will be updated first.
Please don't send health information
The contact form is for general questions only. Please don't include symptoms, medical history or other health information — for advice about your own teeth, see a dentist in person. Health information carries additional legal protections and this form isn't the right place for it.
Where your information is stored
Email is handled by Resend, and the site is hosted by Cloudflare. Both are based in the United States, so information you submit is stored and processed overseas, including in the United States. By using the contact form or subscribing, you consent to that overseas disclosure.
Unsubscribing
Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and it keeps working. Unsubscribe requests are actioned promptly and always within five working days. You can also ask to be removed by using the contact form.
Access, correction and deletion
You can ask what personal information is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Use the contact form and it will be actioned within a reasonable period, normally 30 days.
Sharing
Your information isn't sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their own purposes. It's shared only with the service providers named above, and only so they can deliver the site and its email.
Security and retention
Information is held only as long as it's needed — enquiries for as long as needed to deal with them, and subscriber addresses until you unsubscribe. Access is protected by the security controls of the providers named above.
Complaints
If you're concerned about how your information has been handled, please raise it through the contact form first. If you aren't satisfied with the response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
